will you indulge me?
just o.n.e. more beach post until the snow melts in april and the robins and sun tease us into thinking it's warm enough again. exactly one week ago, it was 35 degrees warmer than it was today. 76 glorious degrees.
and as the forecast calls for 45 straight across the next week, i need to soak this last bit of summer dreamin' up, k?
it was a windy one for me and the six crazy kids. (by the way, i don't know if it's intensified because of their being homeschooled but my kids kind of live for spending time with friends. their faces just light up when i say yes to their pleas. and i love saying yes!)
in between splinter-removal, dune-climbing, rock-collecting, and picture-taking, i had a brief moment to sit and close my eyes against the wind, breathe in His presence so close and breathe out thanksgiving. "can we just stay here forever on this mountaintop?"
until we meet again, sweet michigan shores.
