First of all, I can't thank y'all enough for making my shop opening so wonderful. Truly, you're great encouragers and I felt the love. For now, everything is shipped out and I feel like I can take a big deep breath of relief......and I can finally go to bed at a decent hour. I'm looking forward to starting work on some new hoops soon.
Secondly, yum. Does anyone love bruschetta like I do? Mmmm.
Wishing I had a big plate of it right now.
Sometimes if we've been eating big meals all week and especially in the summer when the tomatoes are good and plentiful, we'll make a dinner out of it. I make it a bit heartier by slapping a mixture of cream cheese, fresh garlic and garden chives onto the thick, fresh bread and broiling it for a few minutes to brown. Then I top the bread with the tomatoes which have been soaking in good balsamic, garlic, salt, and olive oil. It wouldn't be bruschetta without the freshly chopped basil and sea salt. And if I'm really trying to please my big man, I'll add a little bit of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto.
Tastes like summer!
