i could eat this every day

First of all, I can't thank y'all enough for making my shop opening so wonderful. Truly, you're great encouragers and I felt the love. For now, everything is shipped out and I feel like I can take a big deep breath of relief......and I can finally go to bed at a decent hour. I'm looking forward to starting work on some new hoops soon.

Secondly, yum. Does anyone love bruschetta like I do? Mmmm.
Wishing I had a big plate of it right now.
Sometimes if we've been eating big meals all week and especially in the summer when the tomatoes are good and plentiful, we'll make a dinner out of it. I make it a bit heartier by slapping a mixture of cream cheese, fresh garlic and garden chives onto the thick, fresh bread and broiling it for a few minutes to brown. Then I top the bread with the tomatoes which have been soaking in good balsamic, garlic, salt, and olive oil. It wouldn't be bruschetta without the freshly chopped basil and sea salt. And if I'm really trying to please my big man, I'll add a little bit of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto.
Tastes like summer!

♡Have a lovely weekend.♡

  1. So funny that you posted this! I have been craving bruschetta all week and finally made it tonight! I love the idea of proscuitto on it!! I'll have to try that next time!!

  2. I am drooling over this post! I love bruschetta so much and don't eat it nearly enough. Your recipes are always so vibrant and easy looking! Thank you for that :) Have you seen Julie and Julia? The part where she makes her bruschetta with what I imagine to be heirloom tomatoes and she's browning the french bread stove top makes me heart beat faster. Sigh :)
