well, hello there

starsun

Taking a moment away from cutting and gluing and picture-taking so say, "Hi". The sun has been beating down on me as I sit sprawled on the floor surrounded by fabric and mess. Yay for big windows! And yay for understanding children who take time away from their school to help Mommy. (A big sacrifice for them, I'm sure. :)

It's not all work, work, work though. We spent a long time (begging for more) reading Katie's story. I had been searching for a new book to start as a read-aloud with them and Katie's book peeked out at me from the basket under the coffee table. "Hello there? You haven't read me yet!" I had been meaning to read it myself but am so glad I started it with the kids. They can't get enough of her story of God-glorifying, sacrificing love.

And when I popped onto Pinterest "for a minute" (ha), I happened upon this irresistible sweet treat and immediately dropped everything to make an emergency "must-have-ice-cream" run.

Topped with Breyer's Butter Pecan. Mmmmmm. You know it's rich when I couldn't even finish mine.

OK, I'm off to tackle the day. Not tackle really....I plan on enjoying it, soaking up my work and the sun and these children while they're here!
May yours be lovely,
Megan

  2. I have Katie's book on my wish list! I just read about her in the Charles Stanley magazine.

You are such a good mom! I'm praying for a return of that youthful energy I had with my older kids when they were little...

  10. Just popping in to say that you are on my mind and in my prayers today. Praying for the stamina and courage you need to finish this big job! To quote Mr. Rogers: "It's fun when you have a project. You have an idea for something you want to do, and then think about how you want to do it. It takes a lot of planning. I know it's hard work. And I'm so proud of you for trying."

    love to you.
