still recapping (& no creative title today!)

Our Alabama trip seems like forever ago now. ALL the photos I took there have been taunting me every time I open the computer. They say, "We need to be edited, resized, uploaded to Flickr, and then what about a blog post, huh, huh, huh?" So, honestly, I do apologize if you have no interest in our family's vacation photos but I wanted to get these babies off my mind and onto the blog for posterity. Next year, I'll love to look back over our memories.

The Blue Angels knocked our socks off again this year. Being a child of the 80's, I can NOT disassociate them from Top Gun. I was SURE that Goose and Maverick and Iceman were flying those babies.

The National Naval Aviation Museum is outstanding and educational and free! The boys got their thrills and their stomachs up in their throats on the flight simulator thing. It was a great way to spend a couple of rainy hours. And, perfectly, the sun broke through right as we were leaving. You better believe we stopped at the Starbucks on the base (the only one around!) which was one of the cutest I'd seen with it's flower-lined, sunny side patio and Gulf view.

Oh, man....it looks like this won't QUITE be the last of the trip posts because I MUST be off. Laundry and dinner and etsy shop-making are screaming out to me!
Apparently to be continued....

P.S. Thanks for your grace....for traveling with me....for loving me despite my randomness.
Blessings upon you today. :)

  1. You don't need a creative title with these fabulous photos that speak for themselves. And definitely don't apologize for posting these trip photos to a girl born and raised in the south like me.

You and your girl are gorgeous.

  5. Your photos are beautiful-what a fun trip! I was wondering-do you all just road trip through the state, or do you have a specific destination(s)? Our family is looking for a vacation for this year, and we would love to do something like this. I was hoping you might have some suggestions or recommendations. Thanks!

  8. @Laurel B...we always have a specific destination like for this trip we were heading down to stay at my cousin's house on perdido bay. we always drive and like to liven up our trips by searching out the lesser-known gems. i research areas online ahead of time so we don't miss anything i know we might enjoy. we would love to do a free-style road trip "out West" one of these summers....traveling without a specific destination. living in michigan, we always search out the warm weather for our spring break trip. let me know if there was any specific place you were thinking of and maybe i could give some recommendations. :)
