(a visual reminder) He's here with us

"He has made the earth by His power,
He has established the world by His wisdom,
and has stretched out the heavens at His discretion."
Jeremiah 10:12

“With moisture He saturates the thick clouds;
He scatters His bright clouds.”
Job 37:11

cloud2
“He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His treasuries”
Psalm 135:7

"Thank God! Call out His Name!
Tell the whole world who He is and what He's done!
Sing to Him! Play songs for Him!
Broadcast all His wonders! Revel in His Holy Name, God-seekers, be jubilant!
Study God and His strength, seek His presence day and night;"
1 Chronicles 16:8-11 (MSG)

Because I am but mist, I take time NOW to SEE and to thank Him.

Your ever-stunning handiwork
You're huge and I am small
time scratched out to cultivate friendship
friends who stop by
sun-warmed face
him scattering early seeds late in the garden
her, "watch me go fast, Mommy," blazing a path on her bike
and her warm-weather curls
his, "let's go walk on the beach tonight"
a citrusy clean kitchen
plans to anticipate
project progress
backyard entertainment...a new-to-us trampoline
bedtime stories and prayers and snuggles
how You're growing them so quickly
grace for this mama

  1. Thanks for splashing me with God's goodness today. I hope you don't mind if I wade around a bit to get to know you. This looks like a refreshing place to dip into all good things.

  3. @Messy Marriage: Yes! I took those from my front porch the other day. We were all oohing and ahhing. It was sunny otherwise. We heard thunder but never did get any rain.

  9. this post speaks to me today as i reflect on a trip my husband and i took a few weeks ago. while you were basking in the sun of florida, my husband and i were in Hawaii... not not basking in any sunlight. the weather was very stormy the entire time we were there. i was very disappointed. i had expectations of seeing Gods awesome creation, glimmering with sunlight from every angle, breathing in the fresh ocean breeze and just being amazed my Him. when things didn't go the way i had visioned in my head i got really bummed. as i look back now, i frustrated with myself, as i know i could have seen Him in the clouds just like i had planned on seeing Him in the sunlight. so today i strive to seek my God out everywhere, well, because he is everywhere! He is in all things. i missed a great opportunity to praise Him in the "storms" literally. hopefully i won't let the next opportunity pass me by.... thanks for sharing.
