why i sang Indescribable all day long

You know the song,
"From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God..."
So, Friday.
I got the kids all squared away, loaded up the ladder, etc. and enjoyed the drive over to the lake.  Really enjoyed the drive.  Too much.  The video below is witness to what me+no kids in the car+sunshine+and a hankering for Sunset Boulevard looks (& sounds) like.  Yes, I'm a complete dork.

Anyhoo, when I first caught sight of the lake, I was blown away (pun intended) by the waves.  It was a bit windy back towards home but this was gale force wind.  Crazy wind.  Branches falling down wind.  I pulled into the place where the Saturday wedding was going to be and the tent people were at their wit's end trying to keep the tent up.  Fighting the blasting wind.  "Umm, ma'am, there's no way you can put anything on those tent poles today."  Umm, that's good because there was no way I'd be scaling my ladder and risking my life to hook blocks of foam onto metal poles.  It worked out. When our whole floral team arrived on Saturday, the wind had died down and, although it was freezing and my fingers were numb, we got the job done.  I think it was only 38 degrees.  Bummer because this week's in the 70's.
Back to Friday, since I had no work to do and since I was already down that way and since the kid's were having fun with Daddy, I figured it was the perfect opportunity for some Mama-rejuvenation time.  I took the lakeshore drive south and marveled at God's display of power, so clearly written across the skies.  Hence, the singing.  And I actually stopped at the scary-looking, American Pickers-ish antique shop/junk yard that I usually just roll right past.  Spooky-interesting.  Pretty sure the wood burning stove wasn't the only smoke I was smellin' there.

I then made my way to a lakeshore town, you know the one with my favorite, special-treat coffee.  I sipped my delectable drink, meandered through the antique mall.....
*found-2 fall paint-by-numbers - woo-hoo*
and then joined 100 other spectators and photographers on the beach, trying to catch on film (well, not film but you know what I mean) the stunning waves, the pounding surf, the otherwordly light.  "Indescribable, uncontainable...."  I snapped some pictures and took some video and screeched, "NOOOOOOOOO, no, no, no!!!" when my phone died.  (Instagram, obviously....my "real" camera is feeling so....big these days.)
I SPY with me wee little eye in the photo below a surfer, a lighthouse, seagulls and a pier overtaken by the waves....
And because I can't help myself, another video....

Also for those of you nosy curious like I AM, here's what the wedding flowers looked like....snapped on the run...
One more busy weekend working for the florist coming up. One wedding's flowers cost more than my entire wedding did! Whoa.

I pray you see His love written across the skies for you today.
