homecoming


Home.


By His grace we finally fluttered back into this nest in the wee hours last night.  As I'm shaking sand out of clothes today, arranging trip mementos (Carolina pinecones from her and from my grandparent's earthly home, plus shells we couldn't leave behind, a bucketful of sugar white Alabama sand),  I'm mindful of these Holy days.  Of the eternal homecoming made possible by Christ's sacrifice.    Of the gift of knowing that Christ is my home.  


And as I sought Him out on the shores of Lake Michigan a year ago, I seek Him here and now and I find Him faithful as always.

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
Ephesians 3:16-19

Waiting and watching with you....
