Nothing like the sunny inland area, the Lake Michigan coast was being blasted with whipping, cutting winds and lake effect snow. A winter wonderland! His wild strength on display.
And we have the privilege to run around in it and marvel at it and brace ourselves against His power and feel it on our faces and behold His glory any time we want!!!
This song was running through my mind, rolling around over and over, how He's HERE with us. HERE! Then and now. "It's still a mystery to me...."
(can you guess which person had a warmer face? :)
(can you see the snow coming over the water?)
He's here and we celebrate. And, back in the car, thawing, melting snow soaking pants, cheeks bright red, I spout out, "Stop! Back up!". Giddy, we all hop out of the car and Lucy and I laugh and cheer on loud as Daddy and boys chase wild tom turkeys through the woods, up snow covered sand dunes, Daddy nearly catching one....not knowing what he would do if he actually did get a hold of that huge bird.
And I pour out thanks....
