He came...I come with thanks

"So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,
even the King of Israel!"
John 12:13

"I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes,
with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice,
"Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
Revelation 7:9-10

They were expecting Him to come in a blaze of glory to deliver them from the Romans.  Yet He came gentle as a dove.  His deliverance was nonetheless spectacular.

They missed it....

I wonder how often I miss Him....overlook His presence.  See Him in the spectacular but not in the mundane or messy or hectic or gloomy.  How often do I go about my day...wiping the counters, picking up strewn sweatshirts and shoes, shuffling papers, pouring drinks, heaving loads of laundry, answering question after question....without a thought of Him who is RIGHT HERE with me.  Or maybe have thoughts of Him but for some reason don't take those thoughts to Him.  Let alone, PUT DOWN the glass cleaner to meaningfully commune with Him.  Like Ann said, "The only thing that prevents me from praying more is me."

I don't want to miss Him!  I'm purposing to purposefully see Him in all and purposefully stop throughout the day to talk with Him about it.
