a breath of fresh air

Friday, this was school.  Purposefully setting aside the pencil and paper and steeping ourselves in God's handiwork.  Breathing, smelling, feeling, and breathing it all in.  What a teacher He is!

"But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth,and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.

Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?
In His hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind."
Job 12:7-10

Taking up that pencil and paper again to record His wonderful works.

"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up,
so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise
to sprout up before all the nations."
Isaiah 61:10-11

Ah, real learning took place that day.  That's not to discredit what we learn at home with books and pencils, Bibles and journals, or what we learn through just interacting with each other day in and day out.  God is as much in THAT as in OUT THERE.  All air...all ground we stand on is holy...outdoors AND indoors.  But these days when we saturate ourselves with His creation fill our souls in a special way.  A literal and spiritual breath of fresh  air.

Filled to the brim, I pour out in thanks to Him...
